Declaration of an Alternative for Scotland

We The People Of Scotland.

We, the people of Scotland, are the source of all lawful authority within our nation. No parliament, monarch, or foreign power stands above the collective will of the people. Our right to self-government is natural and cannot be granted or withdrawn by any institution.  We recognise that every person is born free and equal, endowed with the capacity for reason, creativity, and contribution. The system that governs us today has ceased to protect these rights. It no longer reflects the dignity or potential of the Scottish people.  Therefore, we act — not in defiance, but in fulfilment of our duty to ourselves and to future generations.

The Establishment of an Independent Republic of Scotland.

The purpose of the State is not to command, but to provide a solid foundation upon which the creativity and genius of the people may flourish. The State is an institution — a framework built to serve, not to rule. It draws its legitimacy from the people may flourish. The State is an institution — a framework built to serve, not to rule. It draws its legitimacy from the people and exists to secure their liberty, safeguard their peace, and uphold justice. This Republic shall stand on balanced governance: a President empowered to act, a Congress of independent representatives to legislate, and a Court to ensure that all remain within the bounds of the Constitution. The State shall live within its means, protect the public purse, and place the welfare of the people above all private interest.  In this, Scotland claims her place as a free Republic — founded not on privilege, but on principle.

Our Best Days are yet to come.

We look forward, not back. The story of Scotland is still being written, and its brightest chapters lie ahead.  With clear purpose and steady hands, we will build a nation worthy of its people — free, fair, and full of promise.  Because our best days are yet to come.
